4. Purpose of processing personal data
The purposes of the recording video surveillance system are as follows:
a) Ensuring the personal safety of employees and other people at the Pelican Self Storage area and facilities
b) Protecting the facilities and the property of Pelican Self Storage
c) Monitoring appropriate storage usage operations
d) Preventing and investigating situations hazardous to safety, property and operations
(Act on the Protection of Privacy in Working Life, section 16)

5. Data content of registry
The video recordings are stored for a maximum of 12 months on a data recorder at the site.

6. Regular sources of information
No external regular sources of information.

7. Regular data disclosures and transfer of data outside the EU or the EEA
No regular data disclosures or transfer of data outside the EU or the EEA. Data may be disclosed to the police to be used as materials for preliminary investigation.

8. Registry protection policies
Pelican Self Storage has specified that individuals in charge of the functional operations of the company and the Pelican Self Storage facilities have the right to process the registry. The registry is password protected and stored on the system data recorder in a locked facility.

The data in the registry is stored for as long as is necessary in order to realise the purpose of the camera surveillance, however for no longer than one (1) year. The recordings can also be stored for a longer period of time if there is a particular reason to do so.

9. Informing those to be registered
Individuals recorded with the video surveillance system are informed at Pelican Self Storage with ”Tallentava kameravalvonta” ('recording video surveillance') signs or labels. In addition, this file description will be available at Pelican Self Storage upon request.

-for direct marketing purposes in accordance with section 19 of the Finnish Personal Data Act
Data can be transferred outside the EU or the EEA within the controller's corporate group and in connection with a corporate acquisition or suspicions of criminal activity in accordance with sections 22a and 23(7–8) of the Finnish Personal Data Act.

8. Registry protection policies
The registries are located in a separate, locked facility, only accessible to specifically
authorised individuals. Applications containing information from the registry can only be used by
individuals, specified through their user names, whose work duties include the processing of the
data in question. Work facilities containing the workstations of those using the applications are locked and monitored. The individuals processing the data are subject to professional secrecy in accordance with section 33 of the Personal Data Act and penal provisions in accordance with section 48 of said act.

9. Rights of registered individuals
Review of registry
An individual wanting to review their information must present a related request to the controller in a document which has been personally signed or correspondingly authenticated or with a personal visit to the controller. Without undue delay, the controller must reserve for the registered individual the opportunity to review the data referred to in section 26 or, upon request,

Right of refusal
A registered individual has the right to prohibit the controller from processing
data related to the individual for the purposes of direct advertising, remote sales and other
direct marketing as well as surveys and market research, public registers and
